the rents.

The rents came for a visit this weekend!  We had a great time together relaxing, eating and a had little adventure.

Friday:  We enjoyed the 60 degree weather in January and went on many walks.  The first walk was to Gene's Sausage Shop (my neighborhood market) to pick up some fresh bread for dinner.  The second one was to show them my dream street that I want to live on that I had found earlier that day.  We finished off the night with some sweet treats and drinks that Julius Meinl (my favorite neighborhood cafe).

Saturday:  The morning started with relaxing, sipping Starbuck's extra bold coffee and talking.  We decided to add a little adventure to the day and go on a long bike ride to Downtown.  In total it was 15 miles which was a bit strenuous for some of us (hmm...Dad).  While downtown we made a visit to the Signature Lounge in the John Hancock building and enjoyed drinks, chips and guac and an incredible view of the city.  We dined at Glen's diner for some delicious fish and cheered on the Lions with some Garrett's Popcorn.

Sunday:  My mom made her second visit to Julius Meinl and brought back a few pastries for us to share.  We enjoyed worshipping the Lord with others at Missio Dei and were challenged to view God as our missionary Father.  We came home and worked on a few things for Courtney's (one of my best friends) baby shower and watched the Steeler's game.

I'm so thankful to have amazing parents.  Thanks for a great weekend!
